I started as a Board member for Home-Start Glasgow South in 2004 because I knew how difficult it can be raising small children. I left a couple of years later to take up the new position of Development Worker.
Although still part-time, I am now in the office almost every day. I am responsible for securing funding in order to develop our unique service supporting families. At times it can be very stressful but I love what I do and seeing the difference we can make to families lives. I worked in the public sector for many years but have lots of experience of volunteering.
