I joined the Board of Home-Start Glasgow South in October 2015. I have spent my career working in the Public and Third sector and was interested in volunteering my Finance, HR and Governance skills for the benefit of Home-Start Glasgow South.

I have a BA hons degree from the University of Stathclyde in Politics and Human Resource Management and spent my first 13 years working for Scottish Health Innovations Ltd (SHIL) a not for profit which took innovative ideas from the NHS and commercialised them. My roles varied from Office Manager initially to Head of Corporate Governance and Administration, where i also had responsibility for our grants and budgets. In 2011 we had a short period of downsizing where i took additional responsibility for preparing the monthly accounts. I was trained on the job but in addition completed a CIMA certificate in Business Accounting.

In January 2016 I was employed as Head of Finance at Lowland RFCA and have continued to further my CIMA qualification.

Being involved in Home-Start Glasgow South has given me a great sense of pride. Its an extremely well run charity with extensive reach to families in times of need. The work Home-Start Glasgow South does improves the lives of many children!
