Home-Start Glasgow South grows every year, with more referrals, more families, more staff and more support offered in more places all around the Southside of Glasgow.
You can help us continue our mission to help as many local families as possible by becoming a supporter, and there are lots of ways you can do so.
Here are some of the ways you or your organisation can get involved…
Join us as a Corporate Partner
Whether you are a local or national company, a partnership with Home-Start Glasgow South could become a special one, and bring great rewards to your organisation.
To find out more about our service, and discuss how we could work together, please contact our Funding and Development Manager, Gillian Leslie, by telephone on 0141 570 8735 or email below.
Your local school, college or community centre could be a wonderful place for you to help raise funds for Home-Start Glasgow South. Ideas can range from holding a simple one-stall bake sale, to having a sponsored silence, a dress-down day, or even organising your own talent competition!
A great example of a way for schools as a collective to get involved is through the Youth Philanthropy Initiative. More information on the YPI can be found via the link below.
We’d love to tell you more about our work, and if you’d like us to join you on the day of your event, to speak, or just be there to chat with your attendees about how their support will help families near them, just ask!
Take on a Challenge
Detailed below are some upcoming events which you could take part in to help us support even more children and families.
These are, of course, only suggestions, and if you want to take on a challenge of your own together with friend, family or even your work colleagues, we’d love to hear about it and support you in any way we can.
Become a Volunteer Fundraiser
We are always in need of volunteers to help support us at our fundraising events. We’d love it if you would consider becoming a regular Home-Start Glasgow South Fundraising Volunteer, and if you have a great idea for a fundraising event you’d like to run, we’d love to help!
If you feel you could either help us at one of our existing events, or host your own, please contact our Community Fundraiser, Caitlin, and we will endeavour to support you as much as we can. Caitlin will also be able to offer guidance on how you can make the best impact in your fundraising journey, and you can find a template sponsorship form below.
Grants, Trusts and Foundations
Support from charitable grants, trusts and foundations has provided us with a solid foundation from which we’ve been able to grow and develop our services, provide more activities for families, train and support more volunteers, and set up new groups and services all over the South of Glasgow.
If you are a trust or foundation interested in hearing more about what we do and how we could work together, please contact our Funding and Development Manager, Gillian Leslie.
Leave a Gift in Your Will
It’s never easy to think about, but leaving a gift in your will could help us make a dramatic difference to the life of a family with young children. If you’re thinking about writing a will, or amending an existing one, please get in touch to see how leaving a gift could help a family.
More Ways You Can Support Home-Start Glasgow South
Here are some websites you can use to host your fundraiser and collect sponsorship, and others through which you can raise funds for us online simply by doing what you’d be doing anyway!
If you shop online for food, clothes, insurance, gadgets or any number of other things, doing so via websites like EasyFundraising (or AmazonSmile if you’re an Amazon shopper) will send a percentage of the value of your purchase directly to us, without costing you an extra penny! It’s as simple as signing up, nominating us as your charity, and browsing as you normally would…
Just Giving and The Big Give offer fantastic platforms from which to tell supporters about your challenge or event, and collect sponsorship online. If you’d like some assistance setting up accounts or fundraising pages on any of these sites, our Community Fundraiser, Caitlin, will be happy to help. Give her a call on 0141 570 8735, or email her here.
Become a Donor
If you have other commitments and don’t have the time to join us at a fundraising event, or volunteer with us, you can still make a one-off donation or become a regular Home-Start Glasgow South donor.
You can donate online here in less than two minutes, and if you’d like to talk to us about how your donation will make a difference, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.
