Nightrider is returning to Glasgow for a bigger and brighter cycle ride through Glasgow on June the 22nd-23rd. Participants choose from a 50km or 100km route around the South and North of the city.
Nightrider is all about seeing buildings illuminated by lights at night as well as raising funds while cycling with friends, family and co-workers. Have fun and raising funds for Home-Start Glasgow South.
On the night the participants will be fully supported with back up and regular break stops throughout. The routes are a loop and participants will start and finish at the same place. This is a fun-filled cycle event and it’s about taking on a challenge, seeing sights. It’s not a race and it’s not timed.
The route has been planned to include as many highlights of Glasgow as possible and a warm breakfast and medal will be waiting at the finish line for everyone completing their route.
The night ride will be on open roads and planned to avoid busy roads. The roads will not be closed. The route does include the city centre, but not until later at night when there is less traffic. There will be some business sections, so please ensure you are confident cycling on the road. All the route is street lit, except for one section, you will need suitable bike lights.
There are two ways to sign up to the Nightrider event either an Own Place or a Charity Place.
The Own Place registrations will be for individuals to sign up. Click the Register button then let us know and we can support your fundraising journey.
Charity Place would be for a team of 6+ people taking part in the Nightrider event, please get in contact for prices for a team booking. There would be a smaller registration fee and a minimum sponsorship individually.
